- Who is eligible to apply?

Hamilton, Clermont, and Butler counties in Ohio.
Switzerland, Ohio, and Dearborn counties in Indiana.
Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties in Kentucky.
Families must live in the above area and have children entering grades K-8. In the 2008-2009 school year, a family of 4 cannot have a household income greater than $55,755. See Income Guidelines for details.
CSF students must meet all academic and admissions requirements of the private school. - How much are scholarships and tuition?
- Scholarships are given in 25%, 50%, and 75% increments, based on family income, household size, and tuition. The average CSF scholarship for grades K-8 is $1,300. The average family contribution is over $1,500. Over the past 8 years the average retention rate for CSF Cincinnati has been over 80%. Scholarships have historically been awarded for 4 years or until the students graduates from the 8th grade.
- How are families selected for the scholarships?
- Families are chosen by a random drawing with priority given to families attending public schools. Families are then asked to demonstrate their financial need as measured by standards similar to the Federal School Lunch program, which takes into account family size and income. CSF families renew scholarships each year and must remain up to date on tuition payments in order to be eligible for the next school year.
- What schools do children attend?
- Parents may choose any private school for their children. Since 1999, CSF Cincinnati families have chosen over 100 different private schools in the Greater Cincinnati area.
- How can I apply?
- CSF family drawings are held based on available new funding. At this time we do not know when our next drawing will be, or if we will be able to award new scholarships in 2008. However, we do have a waiting list that families may apply to at this time. The Waiting List is important as it documents to donors the need for more scholarships.
