What is the Ohio Ed Choice Program?

The Ohio Educational Choice Scholarship Pilot Program provides scholarships to students who attend the lowest-rated public schools. The State of Ohio will provide up to 14,000 eligible students with scholarships to attend the participating private school of their choice with the Ed Choice Program. Students from public schools across the state that have been in Academic Watch or Academic Emergency-the lowest categories on the state’s school rating system- for two of the last three school years are eligible to apply.

The Ed Choice Scholarships can be used at a participating private school and are worth up to $4,250 per year for elementary tuition and $5,000 for high school tuition.
